A couple lube and sealant questions

Whats better for sealing some bolts that thread into a coolant passage? Some good pipe sealant or loctite PFE or something sealant. I have both at work. The loctite boasts resistance to all sorts of fluids and high temps. The other claims the same. Also found some dry film moly lubricant that states for use on bearings and gaskets. Would this be like that dry film coating I've heard of being applied to bearings and intake surfaces etc.?

Re: A couple lube and sealant questions

I have used RTV, Teflon paste, and various forms of loctite. They all have worked for me.

Oil pans, valve covers etc and rubber gaskets, use RTV.

Machined metal to metal surfaces, IE the front and rear seal retainers-use Anerobic sealer.

Use AS on the outside of seals to help them slide into place and not come back out when doing work ON the car. DO NOT use RTV.

I use liquid teflon sealer on all bolts going into water or oil.

Head bolts, rod bolts etc, use engine oil or if ARP stuff, use the Moly lube.

The only way to do a dry film on bearings is to send them off or I believe if you surf the web, someone did it at home.
