Small strong flat head screw driver and big hammer.
Screwdriver & hammer to get out just the hammer to put new in...
Where did you hear that you need a press for installation?

I always break the old seal, makes it easier to take out.
I use rubber mallet to get the new one on, never have a problem.
yep, just make sure you're clawing the seal and not the transmission
^^ Yup! Been there...
I found using a chisel and hammer was the easiest. No prying necessary, just a few taps and they were out and no damage to the lip inside the trans.
