    87 GLHS computer

Hey guys, I need a LM for my GLHS. Time is of the essence, so what would be my options? FWD performance, a used one, or???

The car is stock, but I wouldn't be against running a LM that has a little more boost...of course, a stock unit with a grainger is an option too.

Anyone have any experience or opinions on this? I'd love to hear from someone that has bought one for a GLHS and what they have to say. Thanks!

I can convert any 85-86 turbo LM to a GLHS if you are interested.

    Hi there...yes, I'm interested.

The LM I would be sending you currently causes the engine to sputter and run very roughly. Would that be a problem?

Are you able to convert it to a Stage I, II, etc?

If you did convert it, would it then be considered "socketed"?

    What is your turnaround time?

And how much do you charge for such service?

    Thanks for responding!

I originally said I had an LM for you Paul, but honestly your best bet is to get that one socketed and/or repaired.

Anybody have any likes or dislikes with the GLHS LM options?

I run the '87 CSX Stage II (which is about the same cal as the GLHS?) in my Shadow, and it seems to run pretty well

Cal is the same I believe, but aren't the pinouts different?

Get a socketed module from MW6886.
    You won't be regret it.
I got a module from him for my race car and it's crazy
fast now, I had a GLHS Stage 2 module in it before and
its a difference between night and day.
I really can't believe how smooth it idles now.

    Re: 87 GLHS computer

Thanks for the advice, but what kinda mods do you have to your car? My GLHS is probably gonna stay pretty much stock, as I have a wagon I'm modifying.

    Re: 87 GLHS computer

I put an '86 GLHS Stage 3 cal from FWD Performance in my '86 Daytona. I'm running an intercooled log with '804 injectors, an '88 roller cam, and a ported TB, with a manual boost controller. I'd get good mileage if I could stay out of the throttle, but it is just toooo much fun.
