    daytona rear caliper mount repair?

Well I changed the rear wheel bearings on my daytona yesterday and found that the caliper mounts have grooves worn in them from the brake pads. Is there a repair kit for these or will I have to find new ones? This is causing the calipers to shift and make noise when I am braking.

Have 'em welded and ground to shape again.

I think they are cast, but I welded mine and ground them down, not perfect but seems to work OK. Or find a replacement set which prob will have some grooves also. Just put some good brake lube on them when you put it back together.

Welding cast, if you going to do that heres some tips:

    1. Use Nikel rod!!!!
    2. I use a arc welder for the job
    3. Heat up the metal your going to weld too cherry red (It will be a much better weld.

    Thats all..good luck.
