    Side exit Tona

Well I already have single side exit on my Daytona and am wanting to go dual from the cat back. The drivers side is done but on the passenger side where I want it to go the fuel filter is there. Will this cause a problem? Is there any chance of the exhaust getting too hot that far back to maybe ignite the filter/lines?

Seems unwise to me, in case there is a fuel leak or something. That said you could wrap the exhaust with thermal wrap through there.

For sure bro. Just needed some suggestions from the wise. Is exhaust wrap expensive.

yes exhaust wrap is expensive. you will have to wrap it or else you'll heat the fuel lines and cause vapor lock.

I would build a heat shield for the lines rather than do the exhaust wrap. Exhaust wrap could absorb fuel if there is a leak and act like a wick. A well designed heatshield will keep heat off the lines, and shield the exhaust in the event of a fuel leak.

With the pressures of fuel injection this most likely wouldn't happen. This was more prevelant with carbureted cars because of the very low fuel pressures.

I believe it is the fact that fuel injected cars use a return line that keeps the fuel from heating therfore preventing vapor lock.

Not all FI cars have a return line though, the Neon SRT-4 doesn't have a fuel return line stock.

Nice looking exhaust although I would paint the pipes black to match the red and black theme of the car. Also I noticed your seat belts are odd. I have never seen a daytona with the door mounted belts.

Those belts must have been a special option because my Shelby Z 88 does not have them.

because cars burst into flames all the time with gas soaked wrap...right?
