You're one of the few with a really fast Daytona. That's amazing!

Sweet kill! However, it doesn't look like a Monte at all. I think it's either an old Malibu(that's what my bet is- late 70's to early 80's) or an old Phord Fairmont or LTD(unlikely).

Its hard to tell in the vid, but the back end is definitely a malibu, but it looks like a Monte front end was grafted onto it.

    Hehe, that would be funny.

BTW, you ever run a 1/4 track? with a 16V you should have good top end, a 16v is better for 1/4 than 1/8 IMO.

That's AWESOME! I wish I had a video of the low 7 second pass you made in Huntsville where the slicks were all distorted and it looked like they were trying to outrun the car itself! Looked just like some of the drawings of alot of the cartoon cars I've seen!

Well actually that car is gone and everything is being swapped to my csx.If the 1/4 mile wasn't a 3 hour ride I would, all he tracks around here are 1/8 mile.

Yeah I know that car is just too heavy for the power its making I was having to many drive train issues.I sold just the body I took my koni's and everything.I cant wait to get this car to the track.Any Idea what an 87 csx weigh's?Ive seen on the net the curb weight was 2560# I know its a lot lighter than the daytona.

    Re: Daytona VS Monte

I wouldn't call it a LOT lighter. My daytona weighed ~3000 race weight, my shadow ~2700-2800. However, I plan on removing things in the shadow like rear seat and carpet ETC (nothing extreme, still need street legal) in hopes for around 2600 pounds.

The P body has horrible aero to go along with its light weight :P
I am not really sure how to fix that besides simple stuff under the car.

I agree 100%. The daytona was much better at high speeds, you can feel the wind resistance in the shadow, the daytona seemed to ''slice'' through the air.
