Here's a pic I took of 2.2turboscotty's rides.
Got to love those L bodies, they're my favorites. Here's mine.
Good looking rides!
L-body thread, so here's an L-body question:
Anyone notice something odd here? :
Would it be the padding on the dash?
Here's some of my T-Riz.
The hoodscoop you see is the Direct Connection duel inlet hoodscoop. Someday it'll be put to good use
Equipped with DC Whale Tail spoiler, DC Izumi NOS steering wheel, DC Chrome Valve & Air Cleaner Covers, 86 Silver/Blue Shelby Charger interior, 87 GLHS gauge cluster, Alpine head unit and speakers, 87 CSX horn button, 84 Shelby Charger pizza rims, 85 Daytona exhaust tip, KONI/Eibach suspension, Charger 2.2 GFX & Hoodscoop, Shelby Charger louvers, 2.5" catback exhaust, future Turbo Swap project. Freshly re-painted two days before SDAC's opening events last year

who sells the GLHS style speedometer overlay decals?
That's a good eye, but not the most obvious thing.
Dashes were boxier in the early Chargers. But again, there's still something more evident, unless the 83s came this way, but I've never seen one like it before. Keep looking. Don't look too much into it.
gauge cluster?
Well Pat just told me I'm wrong, as 83s came this way:
Look at the door panel. The silver trim piece IMO was backwards, but my bro. says that was specific to the 83s. I never noticed it before and at first thought either the people who owned that car (selling it on eBay currently) had a custom reupholstery job done or reversed the picture somehow? HAHA I guess I'm wrong though

The '83.5 SC had a lot of little unique parts. The dash, door panels, carpet, shift knob, even the standard radio had turn knob adjusters(think 1970s), no rear side reflectors, no brake proprtioning valve, cloth inserts on the rear inner C-pillars, and old style tail lights!
I actually favor the '83.5 SCs! They have an Old Skool feel that my '86 SC doesnt seem to have.

Another pic from 2.2turboscottys house.
I knew the first Shelby Chargers had the boxy dash, but I didn't know the door panel trim piece did not follow the angle of the armrest up towards the mirror. This picture shows the angle going back towards the b-pillar which I thought was odd. The boxy dashes look really good two toned how that one is shown!
