    CB dipstick/tube Q???

    hey I was wondering what exactly the differences are between a 89 TII 2.2L dipstick/tube and a 89 T1 2.5L one

i remember someone saying you can tell by the ring color?? the 89 TII one I have here is just a hook style, the 2.5L one says "oil" on it....
they both appear to be approx the same length....

I have a 2.2L with 2.5 oil pan, and will be switching it back to the shallow 2.2 pan i just want to make sure i have the proper tube/stick!!

    anyone have part #s??

TII should be shorter as they have no BS's.

    Re: CB dipstick/tube Q???

The tubes are all the same length. The 2.2L CB dipstick is painted silver under the plastic T handle. The 2.2L CB dipstick is shorter than the 2.5L CB unit. There are also two or three non common block dipsticks. There is a flat pan, and a deep sump style pan for the early blocks as well. I'm not sure if the 2.5L tall deck dipstick is a different length than the flat 2.2L non CB pan, but I would guess they are the same.
