    nnnnnope

print a seal had a silicone bead around everything and a base material that doesn't dissolve in water

the newer mopar one with the few bits of silicone is a poor imitation of the print a seal

to boot they sealed at 65 pounds on the head bolts and no 1/4 turn

I know because I discovered at tear down once that somehow I'd forgotten the 1/4 turn on ALL the bolts

as for other brand head gaskets the mc cord , mc gord
/ must be avoided without the conjoined firerings

burned through between cylinders 1 n 2 and burned a 3/8 deep notch between the chambers

Those print o seal gaskets were really nice but the odds of getting one were total random chance. The gasket that felpro used to supply in their upper end kit half the time was one of them, the other half it was the standard graphite turd.

They are $$$ but given that unless you have a NOS cylinder head and deck surface that has never been milled... The added thickness available in the cometics helps alot to keep the timing sort of close to where it should be.

I never had an issue getting one back in the day - I simply went to UAP auto parts store and asked for it
I used to have the gasket part number memorized to boot
    used to be 19 bucks

for 2.2's I never buy "gasket sets" only the few gaskets & seals that I need
shaft seals , valve cover oil pan ends, head, int/exh and not much else

Well, the new FelPro is proven to hold 30+psi, so I don't know how much better you want it it...

well that's good to know and at zero personal cost to learn - priceless !!
especially as I've always refused to use a mopar gasket - due to the rots when wet factor

I miss the print a seals because it's the product I never had doubts about as I never had an issue with one
and like I said it sealed a 12 pound log turbo motor without the 1/4 turn on the bolts

that and the general electric high heat automotive silicone - simply the best ever made .. but gone as they stopped making & selling it here
-was made & packaged locally as a bonus

Is that the graphite one that the metal wraps around the gasket in the corners near the coolant jacket triangle?

I don't remember specifically, but I do know the bottom now has a steel layer. Should have MLS in the part number I think.

As far as I know/can tell, they aren't graphite anymore, and haven't been for years...
