    T1 pistons?

Im trying to decide on what to do with the motor in my NY. It has a rod knock, so Im building a new bottom end. Ive got a set of 84 rods and pistons, and was wanting to know if a set of 88 stock pistons will work on the 84 rods (and how do I change them) and if they are comparable strength wise to a t2 mahle. Also, can I put a stock set of t2 pistons on the 84 rods?

    thanks

Pistons in 84 are for a G-head so used on a 88 motor will jack up the compression as the dish is smaller.

    Piston strength should be similiar.

Yes, you can put TII Pistons on 84 rods but a machine shop will have to do it as there press fit.
