    time for rebuild?

    today i noticed smoke coming out of my dipstick tube, blowby right. but theres no sign of oil buring on my plugs. either way it doesnt matter, i have a common block that i can finally put in.

    Sounds like it, or you could have cracked a piston. This could be the cause of all your problems, unless I have the wrong guy, lol!

    Not to hijack but when I turn my car off, and take off the oil cap I get smoke smoke/steam coming out of it. Is that normal?

    ^^^ I have the same problem... I think it is valve seals but I may be wrong.

    pretty sure it's normal to see some vapor out of there when it's hot

    You shouldn't see any vapours-if you see some when its running you have a bad pcv valve setup, faulty pcv valve or too much blowby. If you see it when the engine is shut off, its probably very dirty oil or the oil cap isn't sealing properly. Valve seals show up as blue smoke out of the tailpipe when first starting it and under decel.

    two much blowby is rings right? I just replaced the pcv valve as well.
