88 T2 engine passed compression test.

Compression Tested the 88 engine I want to replace the 87 engine with in my 86 tona.

    145/150/150/140

only thing bad is that it has a felpro head gasket.

Should I pull the head gasket and replace or just wait til it blows?
I will be replacing with mopar 2006 HG and MP 11mm head bolts.

I am going to be pulling the engines and swapping anyhow so I should do it right?

It's alot easier when it's out of the car. It will save time in the long run.

It's a toss up really...and more opinion than fact. I have read and read about bad luck with Fel-Pro head gaskets. *I think* they are more finicky to a PERECT torque reading and proper preperation myself. I have never had one let go on me over the years up to 24 lbs. boost on a 2.5...and I beat on it pretty dang hard...but admittedly not for a long time before getting rid of the car. I am meticulous in preperation of the block before assembly...ESPECIALLY making sure the threads in the block were clean and well lubricated to ensure the proper head bolt torque...as well as making sure the head and block surface are completely free of any residue.
