    Code 43

My Spirit R/T (the red one) routinely sets a code 43. It seems to happen after it sits and idles for a few minutes. The OTC scanner I have says it has to do with the "ignition interface". Anybody have any idea what that means?

I've tried swapping ignition coils, cam/crank sensors, stock/Aurora/Magnecor wires, many brands/heat ranges of spark plugs, stock SBECs, but it always comes back. It will set the CEL light but goes out after I turn the car off and restart. WTH??

    Re: Code 43

Does the OTC scanner say which circuit it is? My OTC 4000 says if it's circuit #1 or #2. I had this same problem last year on my 92 R/T and it turned out to be a bad ECU. But mine would run on 2 cylinders only. If yours is running ok, I would assume that it is a connection issue between the ECU and the coil. Check all connections and make sure they're making good contact.

Probably a wiring issue. I think its set when the circuit has too much resistance.

I remember the OTC saying it was #1 or #2....possibly both?! I'll check the connections and measure the resistance between the coil plug and SBEC tonight.
