    26" slicks too big?

Would they be too big for our cars, I could either use them on my van or my warmed over Spirit R/T? Yes, they will be spaced out properly.

Physically to big, or to much of an RPM drop off?

I think Terry Ryan is using 26" on his van. Slowe is using 26" inchers on his shadow, but he had to do some fender surgery.

    Re: 26" slicks too big?

The 24's clear on the van with no issues, found a good deal on some 26 ers so I could run the 24's on the R/T and use the 26's on the van.

    Yes

    I'm running the 26 x 8.5 M/T on a 7" rim

    Works awesome

Corby ran his best times on the same tire if I remember correctly

It will fit on the spirit also except for the strut perch, due to the height, but may rub turning(front of fenders).I know some SRT4 guy use them but have to cut a little off the perch. It should fit good on the van, since I think the wheel wells are a little larger than the Spirit/Daytona.

I wanna say that Hoosier makes a 26" X 6" or 6.5" slick. Not super wide, but you'd still have a good contact patch with the tire diameter. Just a thought.

Ok, the 24's go on the spirit, 26's go on the van, if I get them.

Not really... The van runs again, it is currently at an undisclosed location in Arkansas.

It would be cool to see or hear of that van and its owner back in action.

same thing on my Spirit, using 25.7"x9.7" DR's, had to make some steel brackets that pushed the bottom front of the fenders out as far as they would go(prob at least 3"+ per side). Also had to slightly trim the edge of the chin spoiler on the Spirit for a little assurance (hard to describe but not noticeable). The tires stick out even with the fenders, but have not noticed anything much, maybe at full lock?(but from underneath sitting still everything looks OK)
