I don't think a Viper plant tour is in the works for this year. IIRC, they have moved production to another plant and the old Viper/Prowler plant (that we toured at SDAC-7) is closed now.

We are looking into other "interesting" items, but they most likely will be announced only at the event, not before. That way if they don't happen it won't be a let down for everyone.

But, just to clarify, the tall building in the center of the first two pics is the Marriot. I don't know why it is labled GM Truck Product Center. The GMC Truck assembly plant is not pictured in those first two pics. It would be to the right, across Centerpoint Dr.

And as you pointed out, there are no gas stations local to the hotel, nor a car wash that is handy either. But there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

GM TPC is further down Centerpoint towards Smith Blvd, actually TPS East, West and North campuses. I'm sure there are a few gas stations and car washes on Smith or Woodward not too far away...

An AppleBees closed there? That's astonishing, since we just had one start up business about 20 minutes away in Uniontown and it is BOOMING from the minute it opens.

Yeah, well that was said about the Drawbridge Inn in Cincinnati too. There was a ton of hijinks in that lot. But the morning I left I got a great big thank you from the sales manager, and she has sent me an email or called a couple times a year asking when we will be back.

Next year? We'll see.

Goody bags are handed out when you first show up and register at the beginning of the event, so you should have all the info right off the bat

Pretty sure the road course is out for me. Wouldn't be worth it on my current suspension, and the money to fix it would negate the money needed for the course. But I'll see what I can do.
