Crank gear wopuld need to be underdriven as well then right. Then what do you do about the dizzy as Jon runs an 8V motor?

Jon you are serious that your car was undriveable at 10.6PSI or did you mean just the autrocross. Wondering why I didn't get a chance to go for a he11 ride in it then?

Someone seemed sober and well written for a minute there. 1:00pm in the afternoon... btw, If you also underdrive the crankshaft you mess up the variable cam timing.

Well it's actually CRVT. Continuusly Regressing Valve Timing. Every revolution of the crank, the valve timing retards 8 degrees. You may experience some surging.

    Re: BSX progress....

An update is overdue here but here it goes.

Steve Menegon and I took the car out to the Mopar World Finals for the weekend of sept 11-13. We arrived around 2pm on Friday the 11th and unloaded the car. There were a number of items left to check on and complete before I could make a pass so we decided to go out and grab Eric Depenbrok's trailer since this would be our living quarters for the weekend. Thanks again Eric for letting us use the trailer!! From the moment we left the track and for the next 15 hours it rained :-/ So after getting the call for our class @ 10:30 Satuday morning we were more than ready to get going. However it was going to prove to be another waiting game. We sat in the lanes for another 2.5 hours after an accident happened when one of the 2nd set of cars to run tagged the wall due to some water coming up from the track.

So after the cleanup and some more track drying they continued the qualifying however they shutdown the top end due to safety concerns. So here we are, 1/8 mile only in a car that does not front half that well. WTH, lets get some data to see how the new combo is doing. I left the boost at minimum since it was its first run and also since the boost controller was not working, grr. Result was a 5.99 @ 120 on 22 psi. The car felt great and it was a very easy first pass.

So I was looking forward to making another pass on Saturday but was not meant to be, it started to rain again around 5:30 or so and did not stop til around midnight. But this gave me some time to look over stuff on the car and really get a good look at the data. I was hoping Sunday to make some more passes but I decided to head home instead. Mostly due to the 8 hour drive home but also due to some of the things I found in the oil pressure data. Pressure dropped off a bit on launch but did recover by the 1-2 shift. I remembered that I had no restrictor in the top end like I did when I ran the hybrid. And the level in the pan was lower than I need to run. So with another quart in the pan and a restrictor in the head, ill be in better shape next time out. Thanks again to Steve Menegon for the help all weekend and Eric Depenbrok for use of the motel on wheels :-) More to come...

120 in the 1/8th with low boost. Wow, that's moving. Do you attribute the new found speed at least in part to the spool mod(TM, Pat. pend.)?

Nice runs Brian! There seems to be a rattle in the dash somewhere. You might want to look into that as I'm sure it makes long trips really annoying.
