Thanks Alan. There are 2 more brackets that need to be fitted on the bars. They mount between the upper and lower bars as you describe. Only reason they are not on in these pics is to get the exact height the bars will need to be on my setup. Once they are on, adjustment will not be as easy.

I was wondering about adjustment. I saw where they could be, but IMHO, I'd make them easier to adjust because different conditions will probably dictate different settings. At least that's my un-experienced $.02.
Brian, I can't wait until the first test is ready! Breakfast at the usual place first?

Turned out to be a great weather day after a rough start in the am. Between a 6am traffic jam then a blowout on the trailer, I started to wonder how the day would end. Finally made it to the track after meeting up with Mike Marra, Steve Menegon, and Dan Carson for breakfast.
We got the car unloaded and began what would be a long wait while the track crew dried and prepped the track. A rain storm came through overnight and got things pretty wet. So Steve and I had plenty of time to come up with a plan. I guess it was 10:30 am when they made the call for cars to come up, but they said it would be 1/8th mile only until the track dried completely. No 1/8 for me so we waited again for the surface to dry up.
We hear the call that 1/4 mile is open and head up. Cool, so I didn't want to change the boost level from last outing left that alone. I left it almost identical to the 8.85 pass.

Hell yeah! A tenth better to the 60' on the 1st pass with the wheelie bar. Got to the pits and grabbed the data. Noticed the a/f was reading 14.5 :1 the entire run wtf? Took a closer look at things and found the O2 crapped out. No biggie, had a spare with me so I threw it in and got her ready to make the next pass. I dialed in more boost sooner for this pass.
60'- 1.343
330'- 3.681

Shattered every pb to date minus the 1/8mph on that run. The best part was that it did not feel that quick/fast just because how smooth the car went down the track. Needless to say I could smell a .5x and wanted it bad. Again got everything ready for the next hit. After sitting in the lanes for 4 cleanups finally getting ready to run. Started the car and felt it misfiring. Hmmm... it cleaned right up but was still on my mind. Asked Steve to check under the car because I also smelled coolant, even though I run water only I still wanted to make sure it was not from me. Got the all clear from Steve and pulled into the water. Staged... left, the car ran ok but definitely not business as usual. 8.84 @ 153.
I pull the plugs after I got back to my pit and find water in #2 cyl. $hit.... Best case is I'll have a head gasket to do. Worst case.... to be determined hehe.
Thanks again to Steve, Mike, and Dan for the help today. It was great having you there!

Brian, I was glad to help out. Even though we spent more time growing old rather than getting some runs in with the car, it was a huge learning experience. There is an 8.50 in the car. You left out the 1/4 time from the first pass, lol. Great job my friend.

Interesting that you hooked That much Harder, but your 1/8mph went.......down? (spinning in the early gears on your 8.86 pass?)
Other than the addition of the wheelie bars, any other changes? More boost sooner ect?
Again, Great to see you having this kind of success Before year end!!!! Good on You bro!

I know an 8.6 is faaar away from a 7.9..... but now I am thinking this might be doable in the near future? I'm pretty sure this is attainable with what we've seen Brian do so far. {maybe next year or so} Kudos!

The 8.85 pass and every other always have had some sort of wheelspin. It is usually pretty early on and whenever I would try and calm it down, it would either shake or slow down. I call it getting up on the tire. The only changes to the tune on Sat were bringing in boost sooner. The difference in the 1st and 2nd pass were a combination of a harder launch(15psi vs. 10) and more boost sooner. I believe I had it all in by 2.4 seconds after launch. Without the wheelie bars, it would be all in at around 2.6-2.7 seconds after launch.
Thanks everyone for the replies, it was definitely a great day.
