    Talking Bov

    Hi all,

On a 89 2.5 with the original BOV in the airbox. In the feed line to the bov there is an inline one way check valve with a a round felt like filter of sorts.... When istalling an aftermarket HKS bov do you still run the inline valve or remove it? Thanks for your input in advance

No, just a straight line to a vacuum source is all you need.

That's the quick release valve. It acts like a check valve that will vent the BOV when you are in boost. The plastic BOV doesn't like boost on the diaphragm much...

Yep, just run the HKS SSQ BOV to a manifold vacuum source and enjoy the awesome sounds it makes.
