'89 Daytona Shelby vs '90 Daytona ES

Question to those who know the answer or where I can get the answer. I have a 89 Daytona Shelby I got cheap. It was in nice conditon but the kid I got it from could not get it to run right (long story). He gave me a bill of sale for it and He got it at an auction. So no title. I've found titling it would be very expensive and time consuming. So I found a very nice 90 Daytona ES turbo that was loaded with a blown motor. Got it cheap (200.00). I'm in the process of changing over all the good Shelby stuff and noticed that the brakes are the same on both cars. The springs look the same, wire diam etc.

My question is dose anyone know if a 90 ES would have the same suspension and breaks of a 89 Shelby?

    Thanks

Both cars should be 4wheel disc, but the 89 Shelby should have bigger 11" rotors and vented rears, the ES should have come with standard 10" rotors and non-vented rears. Also the sway bar in the rear axle should be thicker on the Shelby and the front bar as well. The Shelby Springs were supposed to be stiffer as well, but I'm not sure if you can visually tell the difference between them.

Re: '89 Daytona Shelby vs '90 Daytona ES

Thanks for the replys. I can't tell the diffrence in springs by looking at the struts. But I know the rotors are the same size on the fronts. I will measure them and find out. I have not gotten to the rear yet. The 90 ES is loaded though. T1 car with an auto, full power, sun roof, rear window wiper, and defoger. It actually has more options than the Shelby. Both cars have 8+ way adjustable driver seats. The Shelby is more performance but I think the 90 ES are more comfy.

Folks don't ask what I'm selling off the shelby yet. It's obvious I'm going to use the "good" stuff. I'll post with any left overs that I'm willing to part with.

    Thanks,
    Bill

A title can be had from UNIVERSAL title ser. Las Vegas Nevada for around $250. Check it (or other title co.)out first. Then ya'd have 2 Daytonas!
