The new frontend looks like a firebird.
It's actually not a Hemi. I believe they are using the Mopar Performance "half a V8" midget race car block which uses the killer race wedge small block P8 cylinder heads.

doesn't it use the P5 hemi head?
To be honest, I guess I don't know for sure. I was thinking that the "half a V8" was set up after the small block like a NASCAR would use and the P5 Hemi was like the Pro Stock would be paterned after the Big Block. You are probably right.

the cataloge says it can be used on both the R4 v-8 block and the A-4 4cyl block.
Thats nice.
Someone has very DEEP POCKETS.............
That is beautiful work, the attention to detail is outstanding.

Why does that blue engine accessory mounting plate have the original style "Neon" logo on it?
wasn't one of the pro drag srt4's going to run that motor at one point in time? Carlson or Crawford, until they made him stay with a production block??? mabey it is a leftover from that project?
Yes, but its banned because its not a "production" engine.Originally Posted by SwiftTech
Also, yes, it uses the P5 hemi head.
Also, I should mention that the motor is rather large. I dont recall the exact number but I did the math and you could stroke it to about 3.5 liters. Thats one big 4 banger. If the cost wasnt so stupidly high (it is, I checked) I'd have considered putting one of these sideways into a TD.

That's insane!!! They ruined one of my favorites ... and if they are that good with metal than they could have made completely new front fenders instead of cutting up a "hard-to-find" set of rust-free Barracuda fenders. All that aside it is smokin' and I would love to see it run. NO WAIT. I would like to drive it on the salt. What better way to get introduced to the salt flats than in somebodies elses big dollar Barracuda. I wish the nose retained more of the Barracuda or Superbird for that matter. But the Fire-chicken is obvious. Still, someone has a nice shop and cars.
