    Trans Mounts

    Hey all,

Just a quick question about the trans mount needed for my 3.0L/A543 swap into my R/T

I know that I need a mount off of a 90+ 523 0r 568, but what cars can these come out of?

Do they have to come out of a AA-body car, or can they come from elsewhere?

In that case, which cars would have the mount that I need?

I don't seem to be able to find one here in our OH JY's because they all just torch the mount to drop the motors......

    Anywhere else to get one?

    Thanks

Try modding the a520 to fit.

I really dont remember the answer to the question.........but you need a 90+ trans mount out of a manual car (a543 or a523).

You can probably buy one new or from johnny (the solid filled ones).

Just buy the mount from what you've both said, I might even have one kicking around.

Brent, Johnny just sells the insert, you still need the metal bracket.

Those mounts can be a bizatch to get for any tranny, they torch them or chuck them, I had to find one in a u-pull operation. Numerous parts stores and dealers will tell you they have it, and you get tehre and it's just the frickin' insert.

    Thanks for all the info...

However, I was still wondering what cars to look for as well as which engine/tranny combos to search for.

(Its cold up here and I don't feel like searching a junkyard for a mystery car without being able to ask if they have (X) car with (X) motor/tranny)

    Thanks for any help.
