My car is an 85 with a log intake and a G-Head. In a couple of weeks I plan to install a modified log manifold so I can install my daytona rad/IC. I have an extra 88 turbo roller cam that I am thinking about putting on when the head is out. Currently it has the original 85 slider. What cam would give the best fuel economy? I would assume a roller cam would have less parasitic losses to friction. Noise is also a concern since I love a quiet valve-train. It is nearly silent now with the slider cam. I have read numerous threads that mention the 88 TBI roller as a great cam but I have the 88 turbo cam unfortunately.
I found these statistics over at dodgegarage.
1984-1987 Turbo I/II PN: 4293819 .430 Lift 240-240 Duration
1988 Turbo I/II PN: 4387850 .430 Lift 236-232 Duration
Would the duration inequality between the two cams be enough to notice anything?
