    Guys, the stock gauge is notoriously inaccurate so before having a heart attack, buy a cheap mechanical guage and install it temporarilly so you can see what is going on, then you can panic or not. Another but not foolproof way to tell is if you have low oil pressure, the lifters should be noisey.

    Oil pressure at idle should be around 10 psi or higher, and rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm, 4 psi is the bare minimum and if your over 100 psi, the relief valve in the oil pump is stuck.
