    Holy Smokes what a deal!

So a few people probably noticed the thread about a local guy here in Salt Lake trying to unload his GLH-T. So I emailed the guy last night and he responded to me telling me he already had someone contact him about it wanting to buy it. So I email him back and tell him if the deal falls through to give me a call. So this morning he calls me and tells me one guy was trying to offer him $175 for the car and it really pissed him off. He was angry and told me if I wanted it that it was still available. So my brother happens to live near this guy so I send him over with some money to check out the car while I went to work. Turns out the car is in great shape and my brother pays the guys asking price.

So about three hours later I get this text from the local guy here who was trying to buy it and he is pissed off at me. I guess he thought that that he had a deal with the seller and that I had called and offered more money than he did. WTF? So I sort of feel bad about it, but at the same time I dont feel like I did anything wrong. Oh well. As for the car, there is no way I could pass it up. As for what I am going to do with it, I have no idea.

Don't feel bad, your money got there first!
That's a sweet lil car and if it wouldn't have been $550 to ship it back to Illinois...

    Nice catch!

I'm really glad someone here on the forums got it. I don't think you did any harm. Someone low balled him and he sold it to someone with cash in hand. Shouldn't be any feelings hurt here.

So do you think the first name that pops into my head is the same name that is complaining?

The guy clearly said best offer. You were the best offer.

I would love that car but I would totally ruin such a pretty GLH

dont feel bad about it. If your on the SDML you would see the emails that local guy sent to the seller. He seems like a crook to me, and I would be glad you go the car, and not the other guy.

I wouldn't reflect on this too much. If the other guy wanted it bad enough, he would have A) paid the asking price, or B) topped your offer. Enjoy your new car.

And maybe just to rub salt in the wounds you should cruise by the other guys place real slow and wave in your new GLH-T.

That's awesome Tyler! How do you keep getting all the nice GLH Turbos????? This is totally unfair to the rest of us. Just kidding, I wouldn't feel bad about the situation at all. Enjoy the car!!

BTW, What are your plans with it?? Considering you're TII conversion on the red one....maybe leave this one stock....or better yet a TIII!

Cody... something... offering $175 for that car. That is a joke. Yes, the engine is dead, but the first thing I'd do is to put a better engine and transmission in it anyways.

Anyways, $600 for that car is CHEAP!!!!!!!

That's a nice car for a good price.

Don't let the angry local guy get to you, he sounds like a tool from the postings I've seen on the SDML.
