Match the donut to the downpipe. So you would use a 3 inch donut.

Or maybe you didn't try hard enough to make them fit.

Both of my cars have 2.5 inch swingvalve and 3 inch downpipes.

This is how a TU 3" downpipe, mates to a 2.5" turbonetics SV. It should be enough to seal.

Heres a photo comparing the large and small 2.25", 2.5" and 3" swingvalves. Also one showing the 3" donut in a 2.5" swingvalve. It will fit but since the contours are not matching the donut will get chewed up due to engine movement. Over time the donut will need replacing.

Hi, but in essence, if I would want to do it, the only choice is using a 3" Donut, correct??

Re: Installing a 3" Downpipe Question:

easiest way is to do like my original 3 in exhaust was hooked up, a 3 in piece of 2.5 blown up on one end to fit on top of the 3 in DP and the 2.5 has a the correct size 2.5 donut on the end to mate to your turbo. if not you need a 3in swingvalve which is quite expensive
