Here's a few pics of the rebuild of my Spirit R/T's engine. Cleaned up the pistons, installed new rings, new bearings, and the cylinders are freshly honed and the block decked flat. More to come!

Nice! How did you clean those pistons so well?
Cool beans,
I do like clean, new engines.

Thanks! I cleaned the pistons with Simple Green Max 1:1 with really hot water, and a scotchbrite sponge. Took about an hour apeice to clean and re-assemble. I'm going to do the seal housings and oil pan tomorrow. I'll post up some more pics when I'm done.
I did the math and realized it was worth it to fix 'er up. Since I didn't get the job I was gunning for, I don't know that I'll keep it for very long, but I do want to fix it up.
I'm doing the exact same type of rebuild (not what I want but still clean)
How much and which rings you going with?
are you not going to paint the block?
The rings are Sealed Power.
I'll paint the block after I get the bottom end assembled. It's easier to mask off the seal housings that way. The oil pan is kind of rusty on the outside, so I'm going to bead blast it before I paint it.
