    Csxt #807

    Well,
I picked it up about 2 years ago... It's been a long slow process and completely low budget partial overhaul. Last night marked a rebirth for #807, She's up and running, driving, turning, stopping and illuminating the world. Yay!
    2.5 / Garrett / A520... and a plugged converter :-(
Pictures should follow this weekend. Too bad paint is a bit further down the road, but the rust is only cosmetic at this point.

    OK, OK, OK...
I know it took me long enough... and I'll have to take some more extensive photos.
Just had to put a new fuel tank in this week. Got it all tuned and sorted out. Non intercooled 11psi is a freakin' BLAST! Yay!

Dave very nice shelby, one of my favs.

for some additional inspiration (not saying you need it) here's another Dave's '88 CSX-T, this one is one of the finest out there and has about 2,000 original miles, here it is from last summer:

Thanks for the dose of depression Marcus!

Thanks for the compliments! It has been a LONG time coming. The inspiration came from the water pump failing on my Neon. The parts to fix the Neon were more expensive than the parts needed to finish putting the CSXT on the road. SO I thought.
Elbows deep into the CSXT rebirth, turned into needing to purchase a steering rack, front calipers and hoses, and a fuel tank. Oh, and to touch on another thread, I put Sensa-craps on the front and $13 a piece jobber shocks on the rear. They are BETTER than the factory original BLOWN units that were in place.
Probably should have fixed the Neon, but I feel SO much satisfaction when driving the T now, and it spins the tires in 2nd! Yay!

    Oh, yeah.
I have plans for the Neon. As it was the Neon was getting pretty tired and between leaking and burning would use 1qt of oil every 600 miles.
Save for the clear coat peel the paint and the car in general are in pretty good shape. For 2007 it got new Mopar front struts, and KYB rears. Rebuilt control arms, New (cheap) tires, High quality used speakers, polished the headlights (OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE), New fuel pump, and took me 3 hours to align it (4 wheel).
So, with all that's gone into it, even with a good waterpump... the car is still a worthless Neon, to most people.
Plans are to rebuild and engine and transmission for it and drop in sometime this spring. Yay!
