Podium Finish at VIR!
The REDLINE Time Attack at Virginia International Raceway!
On Oct. 7 Mike Stimac and Steve Calder competed in the Redline Time Attack competition at Virginia Int’l Raceway. Steve drove Mike’s ’88 Daytona CS to a best lap of 2:11.321 on the 3.27 mile road course to grab 3rd place in Unlimited FWD class and 7th overall out of 53 of the fastest time attack cars in the country, including EVOs, STi’s, BMWs and a new Corvette Z06.
Mike’s car was also fast enough to start on the front row of the Grand Am Cup ST Class race also held at VIR that weekend. First places will be the target for 2008 with the addition of bigger brakes and more downforce.
