I am working on coming up with a logo for our chapter. This is what I have so far. I am looking for suggestion on it or any ideas you may have for a logo. It is just a rough draft.

Can you include my picture somewhere?
Other than that, it looks good! Maybe the "CS" logo in the background or something......but that might take away from the simplicity. I dont know. Looks good as is too. Are you going to buy us shirts for Christmas?
looks great.... id do something a little cooler for the font that says "Western NY Chapter"

Good start... may I suggest you identify what is "western" NY? Or is this really just the "rural" NY chapter?
EDIT: Is that why you included thr rivers? "western" = West of the Hudson?

you could also use WNY instead of western new york....that would make more room and could do a cooler font.
Cool... and for the rest of the world that lives outside of NY state that doesn't know that, how does the logo tell us?

Yep, exactly. I designed the DV logo with the help of input from our founding club members many many years ago. We kept it "simple" (no terrain, etc) because back then digital printing was in its infancy. Now of course, anything is possible, but even still, our logo gets the point across.
A similiar theme was done for the NE chapter, only shaded in all the corresponding states.
Scott, once you hammer out a design, lemme know if you need a source to run off the decals. I have a "little bit of experience" in doing club chapter decals (see my signature). And yes, we can do full color reproductions....I have a 54" wide printer and a smaller one as well...your imagination is the only thing that limits your idea
