how much does it weigh?

1989 Sundance RS turbo, power nothing...rear of car is STRIPPED to bare metal....even the little plates that the rear speakers mount to are gone....as well as the rear seatbelts, rear seats and the metal piece that covers the fuel pump wiring. any ideas?

Truck stops have scales, some large shipping companies have scales, some large gas stations have scales. I wouldn't guess when knowing isn't that difficult.

Shadow88 is right! It only cost me $8.00 to find out that my van only weighed 3340 lbs.! This is great consindering everyone I knew had it pegged at at least 4200.

A shadow is right around 2,700lbs in stock form. I weighed mine at two different places years ago.

Yea. And he removed the back seat (which is a pile of foam), rear plastics, and spare tire, etc. Whats that? About 50-75 lbs? I would say his weight is AROUND 2700#

Your car is going to weight some where around 2550 plus or minus 25lbs at the lightest. My CSXt weighed in at 2575, with a full NOS bottle in the trunk, and gutted rear half of car. I doubt you have more then 50 less lbs then me pulled.
Oh and my car is auto/FMIC/alky/NOS/hybred turbo/light front rims and slicks.
NO AC underhood.

Rear seats are around 35 lbs, both plastics are 17lbs, spare tire and jack must about 35ish... I weighed all this crap as i was removing it from my VNT ES car years back for resto that still hasn't happened. Now I gots me two VNT shadows all apart in my garage.

more details on the car:

It's automatic, no a/c compressor/hoses, VNT rad/ic, no muffler, rear plastics gone, spare tire/jack/hardware gone, rear speakers and mounting plates gone, metal plate under the rear seat is gone, rear seat is gone, rear belts are gone, headliner gone, all the tar and fluff bags stuffed in the holes are gone, hatch plastics are all gone...the front is still stock with carpet and everything, two seats, console, etc...

side note....that was the lightest rear seat ever! The Daytona's weighed a TON in comparison!

If you want to pick up more weight, yet want to keep the rug.... there was a company I was talking to years back about a lightweight carpet. No insulation, but still pre-formed.

I just use the steel scrap yard down here when I want to find out what it weighs,lst time out I was around 2650 with the drag radials in the bed,and my old truck is 6500 while pulling a 2 wheel dolly.Found out after junking and horizon.
