And whats the advantage of going to the larger wrist pin size? Around how much is that extra maching going to cost if I go with the lager .927 wristpins?

These will be going in a 2.5l CB.
There really is no advantage. The stock .900 pins have not been an issue in the cars. Wiseco comes the closest- offering an .901 pin. Heck that's just a slight hone away from being perfect. I think JE has a .911 or .910 available.
I think some hype the larger pin because it's all their manufacturer offers.

I'd guy for the Wiseco's...nearly stock wrist pin, so really no machinework needed, except for the block being bored to match the pistons!
Just ordered a set yesterday!
My thoughts are, less done less possible to have go wrong.

Yessir, definately one of the best piston manufacturers out there. I have no complaints with my Wiseco's and I have the .927 pin as well. Why? They were the ones Chris had in stock and I needed them asap. Who knows if it helps or hurts.

I honestly believe that most forged pistons for our cars are close enough not to worry about. Go with brand preference. Venolia's noisey when cold, Ross, JE and Wiseco have less bore clearance so that would be better for a DD. Oversize wrist pin, moot point and as said, not needed unless thats all you can get.
You need to buy new chevy rod bushings and have the small end machined bigger, then ream the bushing, probably around $60-$100 to get it done, including buying the bushing.

Well then I'll stick to the Wisecos and skip the bigger wristpins. I certainly don't need to spend yet another $100
I recently picked up a set of Venolias from a board member and these use the .900 pin. Never seen it before. I assume they are a little older 'cause my other set uses .927 pins and have the recesses around the pin holes. This recent set does not.
