85 SC glass

Out of all my cars, this one I just picked up is the only one I have/have seen with a letter code etched into the glass. It's on all but one sail window that had been broken and replaced.

the etched code is LBZHX.

Just wondering if this was a SC thing only or what?

Hard to say. I've seen lots of cars of all makes and models over the years that have the VIN etched into all the glass, something to make it easier to trace if the car is stolen and chopped. I'd guess it's something along those lines.

yeah, but it doesn't match the car's vin?

Yeah, I was just saying that as an example. It could be some other sort if identification code designed by whoever etched the glass.
