Anybody know if an '89 Turbo Spirit/Acclaim harness will plug into a 1993 Acclaim? How about other body styles?

I think the only plug and play harness for the 93 Acclaim would be one from a 92 Spirit TI. Not sure if the AA body cars use a body computer afer 91 like the G-body's do, but a lot of stuff did change over those years.

Im pretty sure my 90 ES does not have a BCM. When I replaced the dash harness, I never cam accross any other computers. In a thread about SBEC 2 computers on the td.com forum it was discovered that the G-J body cars use specific computers where the AA-P cars use another different computer. The only conclusion that anyone came up with was the P body and AA body do not have BCMs with the SBEC 2 computers. This may also apply to the SBEC 1 cars.

If there is a body computer on this 1993 Acclaim, I have no idea what it would control.

According to my '92 Service Manuals (and personal experience) there are no body computers in the AA Bodies.

If the above is true, what is the box/computer under the center of dash?
(under center console/cupholders/radio)?
According to my service manual Wiring Diagrams book, it's the "Airbag Diagnostic Module."

I'm really unfamiliar with the electronics of anything but an Lbody. Is there a main bulkhead connector at the firewall where the engine harness plugs in?

Yes, Mike. They aren't that different than L-Bodies. The main differences would be the underhood MAP, and a SBEC.
