    no need to get new belt yet. turn crank so all pistons are straight across. then turn cams untill the valves are close for what cylinder you are checking.
    a fast way to know or

    Ouch! you can throw air into the cylinders 1 and 4 with the valves in the "closed position" to find out if it's escaping from the intake or the exhaust. can help you prepare for the repairs at hand. you'll know which valves you need to buy for sure.
    Hopefully the head is salvageable. Great season though!!

    next mod BAP custom timing cover i am putting mine back on, even tho non itrfr. motor i dont want to replace a T-belt.

    I was planing to pull the head to do some inspection anyways... guess its a must now! Oh well, thats racing!

    Yeah breaking on the last outing of the season isn't a bad thing in my mind. Much better than the first time out for the year.

    AGREED, glad it was at the end of the season!

    Yeah, pretty happy with the car this year, was just hoping to get low 11's, 10's are a bonus! Trying to run it more at the end of the year tryng to see if it would do any better with the same turbo, and it did, at least with MPH... still on 29psi too!

    Sorry to hear she has to come apart, but like everyone else has said, the timing is right and the car did GREAT! So, that is still the 60-1 on there?

    60-1 HiFi in B cover.. Stage 3 exhaust... just a little hybrid turbo, supposed to surge like hell according to the map.. never has on the 2.2L 8v or 2.4L 16v

    Hoping its just the valves... rather not buy pistons! I dont smoke and dont need any more ashtrays!
