Perhaps it's just me, but I would go with a bigger turbo. I would at least go to a larger cover.

Sorry to hear about the snafu JT. Looks like you were really get it dialed in too. Would running a timing cover on the bottom of helped prevent the carnage? You were planning on pulling the head anyhow so I'm sure you will come out even better next time. Good luck! Your persistence will definitely pay off.

Holset HE351, the same as Carroll and Shadow. I have logs of 22psi at 3800RPM.

What I want is to keep adding things onto the list until I am the fastest. I think right now I am the fastest DD, 2.4, FWD, 2 door, neon hand braked, monaco blue Shadow with Einke Evos 5s. In fact I would be ballsy enough to say turbo dodge. Now I just gotta start knocking things off the list. Unfortunately, thanks to Mr. Brian "look at how cool I am" Slowe I will probably never get to knock the DD off.

Run #5 - Cams back to straight up... Best 60' of the day, car started breaking up... lost the alternator belt which took out the timing belt, damage report to come

Not funny but funny as that happened to me on the street, racing a turbo RX7, my serp belt came apart and made my cam timing jump, had to limp home very slowly.

Hoping its just the valves... rather not buy pistons! I dont smoke and dont need any more ashtrays!

Piston damage is very very unlikely, I've never seen one get damaged from hitting the valves. The valves are too soft and bend over. You could have damaged some guides, maybe rockers but not the pistons,

I say Holset or GT35R. I really like my GT but if I killed it, the HE351 is going on,
