    Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

Well, i think i may have found the cheapest flanges available for our 3.0L's... so for those wanting to make custom headers...

    http://store.racing-solutions.org/30so6g3.html

    $29.99 each...

I just can't afford the $112/pair from kmperformance...

    Any comments?

    Dude, you found them!!!!!!!

That's awesome. I seen them on ebay a while back and forgot who had them.

    Kudos to you.

I contacted that guy about them and the port are 1.625" diameter. Just about perfect for 1.5" schedule 40 pipe fittings. If you plan on making headers with that material.

    Re: Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

I emailed Mike (part of KMP) and gave him this link. The flanges that they sell arent actually made by them, they just paid someone else to make the flanges, and the person charges a lot. They dont really make money off the flanges.

Mike seemed to really like the cheap flanges. Also, these flanges are 1/2" thick so they are great for a turbo.

Yea, those flanges that KMP make are from STAHL. I really wasn't all impressed with them. They were better than nothing. But I wasn't at all impressed with the quality.

WHo in the world is producing these cheap flanges though. I cant think of any sort of market...........but I do know that a few companies are not making sohc headers for the 3000gt cars. Those wont work with our car because of our K frame, but the flanges would be the same. Maybe thats why there are flanges available.

This would have saved me some money. Oh well. I might have a custom front manifold built one of these years when I have some money. I hate the stock front manifold

    Re: Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

i was planning on making a log manifold for front and back... basically identical to eachother....

perhaps wont flow as well as true headers, but much better than stock...

    Re: Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

Just to let you guys know, our flanges are "cheap" because we CNC laser cut them in house. We can custom cut any configuration you guys need, so if this flange isnt exactly what works on your cars, we will make one that does.

they are exactly to par... and the reason we say "cheap" is due to the fact that the only other ones we could buy were $112 for a pair...

    Re: Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

well I just spent the money for a new front manifold on a t67 compressor instead. Huge H compressor housing near the size of a gt42. I think I could pick up some good power though having a front manifold identical to the rear fabbed up. Much less exhaust reversion.

    Re: Cheaper Exhaust Flanges

I know, the t67 will get up near 800whp. My compression is down near 7:1 depending on how much material I removed from the combustion chamber. Im still trying to find someone who will weld and grind my cam so I can get .500 lift and 220-235 deg duration with 115-116 LSA

I dont want any 3.0 guys running faster then me.

That big a jump in duration will probably mandate going over to a standalone...
