what are the chances that when i changes heads that i will be able to re-use my intake and exhaust studs. do these things break a lot?

The intake uses bolts, so your fine. The only issue with those is the threads get weak in the head and can be pulled out. Heli-coils are your friend. Also coat the threads with liquid teflon sealer.
Ex studs, most likely if old and original, no. I would order up a set and get some new nuts too. Also, use sealer on the bottom studs as they go into the cooling system.

cool. so i can reuse the intake bolts. and it doesnt matter if i ruin that head. i will most likely need exhaust studs then. thank you sir.
