    Running a Manual Boost Controller?

    Hey Guys,
I want to install a MBC on my 2.5CB lebaron. It has a tII intercooler and some 2.2VNT Masi injectors on it. What else would I need to run 12-14lbs of boost? I heard something about fuel cut off, and am wondering at what PSI that comes? Let me know your .02.

Re: Running a Manual Boost Controller?

You can run 14lbs on the stock setup, just make sure to run a AF guage to monitor it, EGT guage is a good addition also. I prefer the Dawes guage, simple to read-has 4 bright LED's, red is bad, yellow is good, green and blue are rich. www.turbosunleashed.com or www.dawesdevices.com has them.

If you want to go over 14 lbs, you will need whats called a cut-out raiser or MAP bleed, the stock boost cutout is 14.7 psi, so when you hit it, the engine shuts off violently. The above gizmo's trick the computer into not seeing over 14.7 psi so you need to make sure you don't run out of fuel. After that, theres custom recalled computers, larger injectors, cold start injectors for more fuel with the stock computer, AFPR's.

    Okay

This is totally not related to the thread but since you said so... I pulled out my console a few weeks ago. Well I put it back, and since then the tranny sometimes almost grinds into second? WHats weird is it didn't before that. Any idea's? The tranny is out of a Shelby Lancer.

Btw, I have tons of questions.

Is the shifter getting full movement?

Did the tranny oil leak out?

Well if it didn't have fluid every gear would do that I may be dumb, but not stupid

It does get full movement. But I have to yank it back into 2nd? Its like its a shifter clearance issue?
