Strong connecting rod choices?

I'm going to get a quality set of rods for my Spirit R/T this spring. I'm looking for some ideas for rods. As you can see I'm not afraid to lay some cash down on them since I'm planning to make some damn nice power; 450+whp. Know of a good company that's not listed let me know. Am I correct that SRT 4 rods will work in our engines?


Brand New TII stock forged- $650 all said and done ARPs, polished, shotpeened, bushed for my larger wrist pins and cryo treated.


Eagle H-beam- $375 standard
Chromemoly-$550+


Forged billet 4340 from Pauter Machine- $784 Notice the unique shape.

Crower, forged billet- $775


Oliver billet steel- $900



I'm passing on aluminum rods since the car will also see many, many street miles.

Not stock rods, put those out of yoru choices.

Eagle's are known to be very heavy for the strength level they're at.

Any of the other alternatives are great choices. Bruce Bender has Pauter's in his Omni, and there are lots of guys in the non-TD world running any one of those manufacturer's.

Not stock rods, put those out of yoru choices.

I disagree; the stock T2 rods with ARP bolts have been used sucessfully in countless racing engines. They are quite strong.

And they have failed in multiple engines as well as soon as the tach swings near or over 7000 rpms when the motor is making some good power, ie, 400whp and above.
