I'll just bet that I'll regret it, but since I've paid my $30.00, I'd like to get some mileage out of it, so if anyone would like to have a report run, for the next week or so I'll oblige as time will allow. Don't be ridiculous and request 50 to be run and don't expect instant replies (remember what you're paying )

As per BassAss' advice, you'll need to give me an email so I can send these to you, don't want to get shut down!

Thanks for the offer! FYI, dont send people links to the online reports... copy paste and e-mail them instead. CarFax looks at what IP's are linking in and will ban the account if it sees more than 1 or 2 IP's.

They do not guarantee to know the entire history, just what has been reported to the authorities... vehicle accidents, if it failed emissions or inspection, salvage titles, etc.

They do guarantee somethings, but not the whole history that's for sure. I've run a few of the body tags I got from JY Shelby cars that I've collected over the years, and to my surprise, only one or two showed up as junked! And, at least one car I own doesn't show up at all! That said, it is helpful to know if a car you're thinking of buying was totaled, etc. That's one of the things they guarantee (supposedly), if it turns out that the car you buy has a salvage title, etc they'll "buy the car back". I certainly don't plan on taking them up on that, but it's still nice to know. I'm sure they have more detailed info when it comes to newer cars too.

Carfax sucks..My 96 Firehawk Convertible that was stolen and recovered with over $12k damage and salvage title still shows clean title and my old 99 GP that burnt to the ground still shows a clean title. WAY too many others are the same way. I guess they do catch a few. Both were totalled and reported by State Farm.
