Mopar knock sensor vs. parts store sensor?

I know with O2 sensors the actual Mopar unit is considered to be far superior to the parts store ones, but what is everyone's experience with knock sensors?

Im having lots of issues with my GLHT detecting knock, and Im beginning to wonder if its the knock sensor itself. Last night at the track Ive done about everything I can do to prevent it, 113 octane VP, timing set to stock, shrouded plugs, rich mix, etc. and still get terrible knock retard after I bang 2nd gear. Im wondering if the parts store knock sensor has taken a poop and is now over active/over sensitive for some reason.

any thoughts?

Take it back to the store and get another one? IF it used to work and you didn't buy it years ago? Until you get an answer from someone who knows or says he knows?
