Capacity Of Stock Coolant Overflow Bottle

    Hi guys,

I need to know what the capacity is for our stock coolant overflow bottles in quarts or liters. I need to buy an aftermarket one as my other aftermarket unit was too small! The rad is a full size TI/V6 91+ unit.

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they hold about 1 1/2 liters.
If you're planning an alternate one, you REALLY only need about a 1/2 liter capacity. I added a small one on my shadow (to clear the cold air intake) from a 90 toyota carolla from the junkyard. It was run for about 3 months last year with no problems at all.
I think the reason for the larger capacity from the factory is so that if you have a leak (and the rad cap works properly) you can get a little further before overheating. -jaim
