    KYB GR2 Opinions

    found out my passenger side Koni on my Rampage is leaking. And for the time being I need to put new struts on till I can get a set of coil over Konis. just wanted to know what everyones opinion is on the KYB GR2 struts.

    Well... for short term stop gap use they're OK.

    It's not that they're a bad shock/strut, it's just that they don't quite perform like they should IMHO. They have decent firmness (bound/rebound) on stock springs but if you have stiffer rates or coilovers, they're not quite up to the task.

    Ran them on my '89 MR2 w/ 2" drop springs... they did ok but felt pretty stock to me on an AutoX course.....

    For a DD with not to stiff springs, there fine.
    1989 FWD Turbo Caravan-2.5 TIII, GT35R, auto, a/c, cruise, pwr windows/locks, fully loaded with interior and ran with full exhaust. RETIRED FOR A FEW YEARS! 12.57@104 :O)

    I have had GR2's on the front of my Z for a decade... not a ton of miles on them but they are ok for a daily driver.

    Thanks JT, At least I know others like them and have them on their daily drivers. Even though the Rampage will not be used as a driver I just wanted to make sure they would be good enough.
    Does anyone know if these raise the car at all? I dont want the front up any higher than it is.

    GR2 is ok on my Saturn.

    Terrible for my Daytona.

    If your using stock springs, same height as stock.

    I have them on the front of my glhs...they're ok, not great but get the job done. They will be the same stock height.
