    The Spearco that FWDP sells.
You can get a knockoff from Egay cheaper.

I did no cutting to get it in there.
Had to use a Daytona I/C radiator to make room for the IC pipes.

+1. The daytona rad/IC is the easiest one to do in my opinion, however the spearco IC is nice with little work too.

Ok, goals are max out stock turbo but not spend a million dollars, front mount, not stock IC.

    NPR intercooler.

best and easiest being the goal? sorta conflicting goals but if i read you right you want a good compromise yes?

i might be wrong here but isnt a stock TII intercooler a good unit for up to about 20 psi? a Super 60 unit sure is. both of those are wicked simple to retrofit into any L body and are very cheap to get a used one.

if the a/c condensor is removed, all stock TII i/c's are true FMIC's.

you can make any omni quite fast with a TII type intercooler, easy and cheap too.

Not really, I wouldn't say a TII IC is a front mount per say but anyhow, looking for an AFTERMARKET front mount, is that better,

Stock TII is restrictive at 20 psi with the stock turbo so looking to max out the turbo and not blow hot air,

i was sorta thinking same JT, i've been into the 12's pretty easily w/ a stock turbo and stock TII i/c.

aftermarket i/c's are a must for going super fast if thats the goal.....mid-high 12's in an omni w/ a TII turbo and i/c is very simple/cheap/easy.

A friend of mine is running one of those NPR intercoolers. It's a little big in the front, but it fits with all the grille work, if I remember correctly. Granted, his plumbing is a little different than that of an 8 valve, but it fits.

The NPR is not that easy to install. At the very least, you'll have to relocate the radiator, which means custom brackets and hoses. You'll also need a low profile radiator fan, and a Nippondenso alternator is a must. You'll also have to relocate the battery. I'm happy with mine though, it does fit the car nice and the stock radiator fits nicely between the IC i/o.

I think Andy did the alternator, mainly because he went with the TIII motor, but not sure if he did the other stuff.

Simon, I'd check with Andy from Memphis, think his handle is glhs440. If you're interested in that setup, I'm sure he can tell you all the parts he got. He's not big into complicated mods. Hard to explain, but ask him if he has some ideas if you're interested. If you can't find him on here, I'm sure you can find him on TD.com.
