Windshield Wiper stopped working!!

Wow, this is weird. About 8 months ago, during a snowstorm, my passenger side wiper stopped working on my New Yorker. I can "feel" the motor turning, I assume its something stripped inside the wiper arm itself. Well, I lived with it, but with inspection coming up, I need to fix it.

Then last night, while moving my Laser, the SAME thing happened!! Only the passenger side again....stopped dead. Ka-put.

Is this the year of passenger wiper failures? Ironically, the Laser has 104,000 miles, and the New Yorker has 85,000 miles. And in 14 years of owning TD's, I NEVER saw this happen once, even on older high mileage cars!

I assume this is a relatively easy fix, but any pointers (technique, part numbers, location of parts, etc). would be great. Thanks!!

The bushing that connects the arm to the motor probably fell apart. The same thing happened on Billy's Turismo a couple of years ago.

I believe Cindy sells the replacement bushings.

They sell the replacement busings in the Help! section at the auto parts stores. They are an assortment for Jeep// Chrysler and doesn't cost much. Best part is no worrying about shipping costs or waiting for them. Just go to the store, buy em & install them. Can't get much better than that.

Yeap, ask for the "transmission" bushings for the wiper arms
they're like $8 ea. even the dealers carry them
fit just about any make any year dodge
