I also vote for leaving the Omni 8v (as if you were actually taking anyone's opinion!) and try 16v on something else. I have a 16v car (Go Evil Spurt!) but my Shelby Lancer will be a nice 8 valve. I'm looking forward to getting to work on it.

To add yet another opinion where none was asked for, I would hate to work on a cross flow head in an omni with custom (read efficient) manifolds.

I'm all for originality, in the sense of keeping things original. Unless you get a car where the motor's toast, or the whole car needs to basically be rebuilt anyway, why not go crazy
Send Menegon a chunk of aluminum and a new die grinder. See what happens.

We're having a chili cook-off next week at work. I know the secret ingredient is Fritos, but what's the rest of the recipe?
Cordes, the sheer number of antecdotes was amazing, let alone the quality.

Thanks guys. If you make it to SDAC 18, or perhaps spring fling (depending on if I won't have track obligations) I will lay my good ones out there. Clay got one of the better ones in my "border crossing" story, but I assure you that you got the very tip of the iceberg.
