    86 GLHS/TIII update

    Fresh & Sleezy new short block is in the car & running.

    Went to the track Thrusday night for test & Tune.
    Best pass was 12.20@113.53,1.78 short time & 7.88@91.50in the 1/8th.

    Had a few little problems:
    1.parking brake wouldn't hold so I could not do a good burn out.

    2.cams need to be degreed, I think they are a little retarded.

    3.Need to get a +40 cal that actually works so I can run more than 23psi boost.

    4.Had a valve stem core leaking & fouled one plug, but already fixed those.

    Hope to break into the 11s before the end of the year.

    It took a bit longer than I had hoped, but thanks.
    I have quite the collection of torn up bottom end parts!!!!!!!!

    You made a hell of an effort just to get the car to SDAC, no need to kill yourself again not being under a real deadline...

    Found a blown wheel cylinder & soaked brake shoes on the driver side, will fix this and parking brake should work.

    In the process of making a mounting plate for a mag base that screws down
    to the valley cover mounting holes to find true TDC and degree the cams.

    11's soon.

    What cal are you running now? You still running the 23" slicks? Any chassis tuning?

    I should hope you'll get into the 11's,
    1989 FWD Turbo Caravan-2.5 TIII, GT35R, auto, a/c, cruise, pwr windows/locks, fully loaded with interior and ran with full exhaust. RETIRED FOR A FEW YEARS! 12.57@104 :O)

    Kevin, stock cal w/rev limiter removed & no boost control.
    Yes 23" slicks.
    No more chassis tuning than before, best 60' is 1.71
