Lots. I called to get some used ones done that I bought, almost keeled over. I believe it was somewhere around $160 each, more or less,

I added up the cost of buying the used ones, then getting them rebuilt and it would have been more cost effective to buy new ones from the beginning.

Koni Repair Services did a set of (4) glhs unit for me in Nov of 2006, cost was about $620, but, if any of the units needs a new main shaft the cost will be higher.

Thats just too much money, you can buy coilovers for a bit more or brand new ones if you don't have any,

Aren't the L-body Koni shocks/struts long gone? I don't think you can just go out and buy a set, at least not for the L-bodies.

For someone restoring a GLHS the only option anymore is to have a set of originals rebuilt. The only l-body Konis you can get now are the coil-overs that FWD sells, they are nice but not correct for a car that's being restored. The stock style ones are not available brand new anymore.

yes, only used or used then re-built, are the choices now if you want your glhs to look correct....i dont think $620 for full factory restoration plus $200 for good used cores w/ the coils is a lot of money to spend on a car that you are going to keep and enjoy for a lifetime.

It's a good thing that I traded a set of sc rear window louvres for a full set then

Could be wrong, but I recollect - about $1000 for a set of L- body coil overs with all the springs/hats/whatnot from Cindy

Yeah, I found the ones Simon has on ebay and told him about them. I feel bad now as I didn't know it cost THAT much.

Not your fault. As they say, do the research first. Honestly, I think they'll be fine, just need to find a car to put them in.

Yeah, worn out Koni's are probably still better than the MP struts i got years back. Those things shat the bed after just a couple years.
