Exclamation 2007 DPC Meeting (Nov 18, 2007) at Monterrey, MEXICO

    Dear friends:
Dodge Performance Club (DPC) will like to invite to its annual meeting to be held near Monterrey, Mexico. This is our sixth meeting and we had a good acceptance on the past from all the members located in Mexico. This time, due that the meeting is near the border, we will like to extend the invitation to our northern neighbors to join us on a track day. No car is necesesary to be presented, we can arrange transportation from the airport to the race track and backwards.

    Who we are?
DPC is one of the biggest mopar clubs in Mexico, focused mainly on Mopar's turbos but open to other technologies as well.

    THE EVENT
The main purpose is to have a place to share and enjoy of something we all have in common: the passion for racing the quater mile. Just like our previous event which was also held at the same location mentioned above, our new event will be held at the same location due to its great conditions. The track itself has a shaded area in the parking area and of course for all of us as well.
These are the things that are going to be available during the event:
    · The track will be opened for 7 hrs.
    · The track will be sticky all the way down to the end.
    · A ticket will be given to you at every run with all the information needed.
    · The organization of a mini bracket to the ones that would like to participate.
    · Beer will be sold at wholesale price
    · Grills and places to sit to have a nice lunch.
    · Nice clean restrooms.
    · Guards at the entrance and arround the track permises for our protection.
    · An ambulance will be there during the 7 hrs. that the track will be opened.

The schedule will be the following:

    Saturday, November 17th, 2007
    · Arrival of all foreign people to the city.
    · We`ll get together somewhere in the city center at 6:00p.m. to go to Montemorelos, N.L.
    · Have dinner in a nice restaurant in the National Highway.
    · Check in at the Hotel.

    Sunday, November 18th, 2007
    · 9:30 a.m. The track will open.
    · 11:00 a.m. Open track for racing or testing.
    · 2:00 p.m. Close track for lunch and pictures and to tune cars.
    · 2:15 p.m. Food service starts with a ticket only.
    · 3:30 p.m. Pictures at the parking lot and bleechers.
    · 4:00 p.m. Track will be opened for oficial practices: establish times to choose partners.
    · 5:30 p.m. Have brackets by categories and with the people that would like to participate.
    · 8:00 p.m. Close track
    · 9:00 p.m. Exit the track for the oficial dinner at the hotel.

    Monday, Nobember 19th, 2007
    · 11:30 a.m. Breakfast/Lunch for closure.

All of you Dodge fans are welcome for any questions you may write to e-mail address: dpcmty2007@dpcmx.net

Nice post. Good pics too. Makes me want to go. How many highway miles is it from the border/Tijuana to Montemorelos, N.L.?
    John Laing

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
    -- Alexis de Tocqueville

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
    --Ayn Rand

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
    -- Justice Antonin Scalia

You need to go to Laredo, Tx driving 1,429 miles, from there to Montemorelos is another 160 miles.

Montemorelos is very close to Monterrey, N.L., Mexico
