Hello, well ever since I've had my car I have had really bad idle issues. It is a 2.5 T1 auto. I am tired of it, I don't want to wear out the transmission by dropping it in drive at 2000 rpm's and its very loud and annoying. I tried to set the minimum airflow but when I adjusted the screw it was at the lowest rpm setting, turning it in only made the idle higher. The "trick" to get the AIS to shut all the way didn't have any effect on my idle either. My idle will also flucuate, usually it will start at 2100 rpms, move up to 2350 for about 20 seconds, then drop back to 2000 and remain fairly steady. In drive when I come to a stop it usually stays at a steady 1100 rpms. Ignition timing is at 12^. Vacuum reading from my stock boost/vac gauge is ~16 at idle. I completely redid my vacuum system and still had the same problem. Is my AIS bad or do my problems lie elsewhere?
